The Road to the Revival of the Muslim Ummah

We live now in a time of great trial and tribulations ( fitna) . In the past centuries dramatic changes have taken place. The state of the once majestic Muslim Ummah has deteriorated to such an extent that there is only one word to describe it’s current condition : Pathetic! 

We have a lot to do to reclaim the status that we once held. 

In an age in which ignorance within the Muslim community is growing, the pursuit of knowledge and awareness (of the age we live in) would definitely play a major role in the revival of the Ummah. Islam is a religion which stresses the importance of knowledge. Prophet (S.A.W) said “Seeking of knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim” (IbnMajah). In Islam there is no such thing as ‘secular education’ or’ Islamic education’. The seeking of religious and all other types of knowledge should be balanced. Islam teaches its followers to take the middle path.With this kind of education our understanding of matters would certainly broaden.

We live in a strange world where weird things happen all the time. Unfortunately, people of this generation seem uninterested in their surroundings.Recent books that I have read convinced me that we live in the End of times, Subhanallah! (Some imminent scholars say that Ya’juj and Ma’juj are already released!)  Thanks to the fact that we’ve been deceived into loving this materialistic world so much, we don’t seem to be realizing these alarming facts. When we are aware of what is happening, we will tend to change our ways accordingly too and this in turn will have an impact on our condition.

It’s been 87 years since we last had a ruling system of our own. 87 long years since we had an Amir.87 years since the system of the Khilafah was totally exterminated (by the Euro-Westerners with help from some traitors) :Past. 

Present: surprisingly majority of today’s Muslims don’t know about, care about and have no desire of the least in bringing this righteous system back into existence. In the modern secularist governments, Allah’s laws are no longer supreme. The law’s of the nation is considered supreme and scholars deem this to be Shirk! .There are many other issues including that of Riba and immorality that are prone in the modern system.

Imagine living in a multi-racial society of Muslims (and non-Muslims) under the rule of one leader. Imagine sending your children out without the fear of them corrupting their character. Imagine dealing with real money (which has real value); Gold and silver dinars (instead of the fake paper money ). The need for the Khilafah is plain and clear. The restoration of the Khilafah is the ‘dream’, even though according to scholars this revival wouldn’t take place until the return of Prophet Isa (A.S) (and what makes us think that there is along time ahead till that long awaited day arrives?). I wish my Muslim Ikhwan had at least the desire for the restoration of this holy system.

The following point stated could be considered minor in contrast to the above mentioned issues but it is a common scene that we are witnessing. This basically is the non-implementation of Rasool (S.A.W)’s famous advice,“Tie your camel first, then put your trust in Allah” (At-Tirmidhi). We find a lot of Muslims today who when faced with a problem simply start increasing their prayer time ,adhkar and compulsory rituals, while doing nothing else about it. This wasn’t the solution taught by our beloved Prophet (S.A.W). He taught us to do the best that we can from our side and pray and keep total faith in Allah in whatever we do. After all He’s the one who knows what’s best for us.

The initiative step to progress of anything I believe is in the very first revelation sent down by the Almighty Creator , “READ!”.  People have to read about these issues, about the strange happenings , about the last day, about our history and be informed. My recent readings of some amazing eye opening works by a particular scholar, Sheikh Imran Hossein, had a great impact on many of the things I had to say. It is highly recommended to stay in company of scholars, especially for the youth, since we are the ones who are mainly ‘targeted’.

May Allah keep us all guided in the straight path and keep us protected from all evils.
